Summer’s snow

What am I waiting for?
I’ll miss you even before you are gone.
When the shadows hit the wall
Your scent lingers and we no longer talk like we used to.
You use me
And I used you.
What was I hoping for?
We were just in the moment trying to get some reprieve from the sun.
The winter’s colors upon our skin
One last kiss before we melt into the lives that consume us.
