Star and Moon

Said the star to the moon;
” Irregardless to how the other stars may feel I’ve hopelessly fallen for you.
Your pale statute is an exterior,
only I know the passion that brews in the cavity of your cold soul.
Your beauty, flaws, imperfection.
Let me drink it all in.
I want to cover them with a trail of stardust.
Make them shine like the light that you are.
I’m pale compared to you.
Let me blaze into the night if it amuses you.
Deny me not the shadow of your smile.
Let me lay upon the cool of it cause your love burns my desire.”
The moon he smiles.
